About the SDL Users Group (SDLUG)
Overview
This is a Users Group founded by customers of SDL International's (www.sdl.com) translation software technology. Our mission is to bring together people using the same tools to share best practices, provide for a formal, constructive dialog with SDL, and collectively influence decisions on issues that matter most to our community such as feature technology enhancements.
Powerful Social Networking Platform
We selected a feature-rich social networking platform from a company called SocialGo to build this website. It has many similarities to popular sites like Facebook: the ability for members to invite their friends and colleagues to join, the freedom to create an infinite number of sub-groups, the flexibility to communicate and collaborate on nearly any topic. Click here to see a video tutorial of site functionality.
Membership Is Free.... Sort of
No payment is required to join this group. But members are encouraged to donate to costs of website hosting fees which currently are being covered by the SDLUG Webmaster. The SDLUG is a non-profit group and 100% of surplus funds raised over and above our expenses will be donated to UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund (www.unicef.org).
