Member Resources

All members of the SDL Users Group have access to the following resources when they join:

Unlimited Special Interest Groups (SIGs)

Want to learn more about best practices from other users of SDL's software?  Want to share the lessons you've learned about integrating SDL's tools with other applications within your organization?  Then join one of the many Special Interest Groups that have been created by users of various software tools for other users.  Don't see a group that meets your needs?  Then create one and encourage others to join!

Dynamic Event Directory

Are you planning to attend a local (or even online) event and want to meet up with other SDL Users?  Are you a SIG manager and want to encourage people to join a regular conference call?  Then post your event to the event directory and configure it as either invitation-only, visible to only your SIG members, or to all members.

Forums

Have a specific technical question that you couldn't find the answer for? Curious about other users' experiences with a software upgrade?  Then post your question to the Forums and watch as the answers roll in.  Forum topics can be subscribed to so that you'll receive an email alert the moment someone responds.  Like events, Forum topics can be restricted to certain groups or opened up to the membership at large.

Access to the Member Directory

Want to network and learn more from other experts in the Globalization/Localization industry? Want to share more about the exciting things you're doing with SDL products in your organization?  Each member has access to the Member Directory, a searchable list of all member profiles.  Each member has a customizable profile page, similar to Facebook, where you can share more about yourself and your organization.  Also like Facebook, you can send and accept friend requests from other members.

Instant Messaging and Chat Rooms

Want to communicate in real-time with your SDL User Group friends?  Want to communicate with other Special Interest Group members during a meeting (either online, offline or both)?  Then access the familiar instant messaging applet in the bottom right hand corner of every page to see Who else is online or visit the main or SIG specific chat rooms sprinkled throughout the site.

Third-Party Applications

In addition to the member features listed above, there are several more features available from third-party websites.
